Synctoolo relies primarily on client-side HTML5 Local Storage to remember your preferred tools, ensuring that your preferences never become server-side telemetry.

When you interact with Synctoolo, only the following strictly functional client-side keys may be created in your browser's Local Storage:

• synctoolo_favorites: An array of tool slugs (e.g. ["word-counter", "json-formatter"]) saved when you click the “Save” heart button on a tool page.
• synctoolo_recents: A temporary list of the last 6 tools you opened, allowing you to jump back into recent utilities quickly.
• theme: Your dark mode or light mode appearance preference, if toggled.

We maintain a strict prohibition against all surveillance-based web technologies:

• No third-party advertising or retargeting cookie networks
• No Meta (Facebook) pixels, TikTok beacons, or Google conversion pixels
• No canvas fingerprinting, battery status tracking, or audio context sniffing
• No monetization or selling of user storage identifiers to data brokers

Our global edge delivery network (such as Cloudflare or Vercel edge infrastructure) may set strictly necessary, encrypted security cookies (for example, anti-bot challenge tokens like __cf_bm).

These tokens contain no personally identifiable information. They exist solely to distinguish legitimate human traffic from distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) botnets and brute-force scrapers. Under GDPR and ePrivacy directives, strictly necessary security cookies do not require prior consent banners.

You have absolute control over the data stored on your device. You can view, inspect, or wipe Synctoolo storage at any time:

• Google Chrome: Settings > Privacy and security > Third-party cookies > See all site data and permissions > Search "synctoolo" > Clear data.
• Apple Safari: Settings > Privacy > Manage Website Data > Search "synctoolo" > Remove.
• Mozilla Firefox: Settings > Privacy & Security > Cookies and Site Data > Manage Data > Remove Selected.
• Microsoft Edge: Settings > Cookies and site permissions > Manage and delete cookies and site data > Clear.

Synctoolo unconditionally honors Do Not Track (DNT) browser headers and Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals. Because we do not track or sell user data by default, our platform is natively compliant with all automated privacy signals.
